I'm Leslie. I'm 25. I'm obese.
On January 9, 2011 I decided to change my life, I just didn't know it. On a whim I started a work-out and diet program with a friend; she wanted to lose 30 pounds, I needed to lose 100. Like many things in my life I thought I would try it and see what happened; figuring I would be back to my old ways in less than a month. We decided to use a calorie tracking app (My Fitness Pal aka MFP) and a Wii game I had purchased a year previously when I thought I might try to lose weight, but didn't (EA Sports Active : More Workouts aka EA:MW.)
The first couple of weeks I ate whatever, tracked my calories and gave a half assed effort to the workouts we did. I lost 2 pounds. I liked that, so I kept going. We are now eight weeks in and I am down 15 pounds. Between week two and now something has clicked. I have realized I love working out, the dieting isn't killing me. I feel like a bad ass.
I started this blog to have somewhere to gush about my accomplishments, bitch about my bad days and have a record of this journey for myself.
